Sign in to HBO Max
Here's how to sign in.
New Unitel subscription?
If you get HBO Max through Unitel, you need to Activate your HBO Max subscription before you can start streaming.
Choose the device you're using:
Here's how to sign in to the HBO Max app:
Open HBO Max and choose Sign In.
Already signed in? Choose your profile (upper right) and then Sign Out.
Enter your HBO Max account email or mobile number and choose Continue.
Do one of the following:
Email address: Enter your password and choose Sign in.
Mobile number: Open the text message that was just sent to your mobile number and enter the 6-digit verification code.
Choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.
Need to switch accounts? To sign in to a different HBO Max account, choose your profile (upper right) and then Sign Out. Once signed out, choose Sign In.
Note You can add your mobile number or email to your account as an additional sign-in method. To find out how, go to Change account info.
Troubleshooting
How are you trying to sign in?
If you get this message, try signing in without your password. Here's how:
When prompted for your password, choose Get One-Time Code.
Check your inbox for an email sent by HBO Max (email subject: Time Sensitive: Your One-Time HBO Max Code). This email should arrive within a few minutes. Be sure to search all inbox folders (including Promotions, Junk, and Spam). Didn't get the email?
Enter the 6-digit code from your email.
If prompted, add or update the password for your account.
Choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.
If you added your mobile number to your account, here are some things to try:
Make sure the mobile number you entered is correct. You need to add your mobile number to your account before you can sign in with it.
Try signing in with your account email and password. For help finding your account email, go to Find your account email.
If you're signing in with your mobile number, you should get a new text message after entering your mobile number. If you didn't get a text message, try the following:
Make sure the mobile number you entered is correct. You need to add your mobile number to your account before you can sign in with it.
Choose Get New Code to send another text message. You should get a new text message within a couple of minutes.
Make sure your phone can receive text messages (check your cell phone signal strength and make sure Airplane mode is turned Off).
Make sure your phone is not set to block messages from unknown senders.
Try restarting your phone.

If you get a 'Your device time is out of sync' error on your phone or tablet, make sure the date and time are correct on your device. For help, go to Google’s Set date & time article or Apple’s iPhone: Change time or iPad: Change time article.
Sometimes we'll ask you to solve a puzzle to help keep your account secure. If you're having trouble with the Captcha puzzle challenge, choose Restart to start the challenge over.
You can also choose Audio Challenge to access your account another way.

Here's how to sign in on your TV device:
Open HBO Max and choose Sign In.
Already signed in? Choose the Settings icon
(lower left) and then Sign Out.
Now, choose a TV sign-in option:
Scan the QR code on your TV to sign in. Here's how:
Stay on the TV screen with the QR code while you grab your phone or computer.
Do one of the following:
Open your phone's camera app and point your camera at the QR code on your TV. Then, tap the link that appears on your phone.
-or-
Go to HBOMax.com/signin and enter the 6-digit code from your TV. You'll be signed in automatically if you're already signed in at HBOMax.com.
Enter your HBO Max account email and then choose Continue.
Enter your password and choose Sign in.
Choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.

TV code not working?
If the 6-digit code isn't working, here are some things to try:
Open a private or incognito browser window and then go to HBOMax.com/signin.
Try signing in another way (e.g. choose Use HBO Max Mobile App).
Try using a different supported browser (Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Safari).
Sign in on your TV using the HBO Max app on your phone or tablet. Here's how:
On your phone or tablet, open HBO Max and sign in (if needed). Keep the HBO Max app open and active.
Then, on your TV device:
On the Sign In screen, choose Use HBO Max Mobile App (on the left).
(This option is not available on all TV devices.)
Stay on the Sign In screen while you grab your phone or tablet.
Now, on your phone or tablet:
Go back to HBO Max and choose Allow when asked if your TV can sign in to your HBO Max account.
You'll be signed in on your TV.
Go back to your TV, choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.
No sign-in prompt?
Make sure you're signed in to HBO Max on your mobile device.
Make sure your mobile device and TV device are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Close and reopen HBO Max on your mobile device.
Try signing in another way: Use a Code or Use Email Address.
Sign in on your TV using your TV remote. Here's how:
On the TV sign-in screen, choose Use Email Address (on the left).
Enter your HBO Max account email and choose Continue. To open the on-screen keyboard, move the selection to Email Address and press the select button on your remote.
Do one of the following:
Check your inbox for an email sent by HBO Max (email subject: Time Sensitive: Your One-Time HBO Max Code) and enter the 6-digit code from your email. This email should arrive within a few minutes. Be sure to search all inbox folders (including Promotions, Junk, and Spam).
Choose Use Password Instead, then enter your account password and choose Sign In.
Choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.
If you added your mobile number to your account, you can sign in using your mobile number. Here's how:
On the Sign In screen, choose Use Mobile Number (on the left).
Enter your mobile number (with area code) that's associated with your HBO Max account, and then choose Continue.
Enter the 6-digit code sent to your mobile number and then choose Submit.
Choose who's watching and you're ready to stream.
Need to switch accounts? Choose the Settings icon (lower left) and then Sign Out. Once signed out, choose Sign In.
